Responsibilities

As a Junior Hardware Review Specialist, you will work alongside experienced engineers and development teams to review electronic schematics and hardware designs provided by suppliers. Your primary responsibility will be to support the application of internal design rules and industry best practices during the ECU development process, ensuring reliable, robust hardware solutions.

 

  • Analyze ECU hardware schematics with respect to internal guidelines and automotive electronic standards.

  • Identify potential design issues and collaborate with development teams to propose improvements.

  • Evaluate and support key aspects of hardware design, including:

    • Component selection and reliability

    • Thermal dissipation and layout considerations

    • Input filtering, protection methods, and power integrity

    • Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) requirements

  • Contribute during both the development and serial life phases, including updates and modifications to existing hardware designs.

  • Support additional activities such as root cause analysis, standards documentation, and technical reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Fundamental knowledge of electronics hardware design, including schematic capture, PCB layout, protection circuitry, and thermal analysis.

  • Familiarity with the constraints and challenges of the automotive environment—or equivalent high-reliability applications.

  • Experience with electronic measurements and lab equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters), and a basic understanding of simulation tools.

  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and grow within the role.

  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Essential skills

  • Internship, academic project, or prior experience related to hardware and PCB design.

  • Awareness of relevant automotive standards and lifecycle considerations.
