Responsibilities

  • Manage automation and control systems (PLC, CNC, robots, networks, etc.) across industrial projects
  • Define and apply Automation & Control methodologies to ensure project consistency and quality
  • Prepare technical specifications, review, and align supplier offers
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, norms, and safety regulations
  • Oversee project timelines and ensure Automation & Control deliverables are met according to the schedule
  • Perform static and dynamic tests during commissioning and validate system integration with ICT
  • Support machine reliability and performance improvement during the ramp-up phase
  • Lead and coordinate controls engineering teams within assigned projects
  • Promote and ensure a zero-compromise safety culture on all automation activities.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Automation, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven experience in industrial automation and control systems, ideally in the automotive industry
  • Strong knowledge of PLC programming and architecture - Siemens and/or Rockwell platforms
  • Familiar with CNC systems, robotic integration, and industrial network communication
  • Understanding of KPI monitoring and performance tracking
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
  • English: operational proficiency (spoken and written); Spanish is an advantage
  • Willingness to travel or relocate, depending on project requirements.

What do I need before I apply

This role requires relocation to Zaragoza, Spain for an initial period of one year.
