Senior Test Automation Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Test Automation Engineer to help ensure the quality of modern payment applications and transaction platforms. 

You will contribute to the validation of API-driven systems, backend services, and integrated business flows in environments where accuracy, reliability, traceability, and quality are critical.

• Design, implement, and maintain automated tests for APIs, backend services, and integrated systems.
• Validate REST and SOAP services, payloads, contracts, and business flows.
• Build and improve reusable automation frameworks and testing assets.
• Work closely with developers, analysts, and DevOps engineers in Agile teams.
• Support and strengthen quality gates in CI/CD pipelines.
• Investigate defects, coach teams on quality practices, and improve test coverage across critical business flows.
• Contribute to functional, integration, and non-functional validation activities.
• Help improve release confidence in transaction-oriented systems.

• More than 5 years of experience in test automation or software quality engineering.
• Strong knowledge of a JVM language such as Java or Kotlin.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, XML, and JSON.
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, Bruno, RestAssured, or similar.
• Good understanding of SQL and databases.
• Familiarity with Linux and shell scripting.
• Experience with GitLab.
• Exposure to Docker.
• Experience working in Agile delivery teams.
• Previous experience in payments, banking, fintech, or other integration-heavy transaction platforms.
• Strong English communication skills.

• JavaScript / TypeScript exposure.
• Understanding of asynchronous flows and integration-heavy architectures.
• Familiarity with validation practices in regulated systems.
• Knowledge of payment transaction flows, merchant APIs, or financial service integrations.
