OT MES Engineer

• MES – PLC – OT Integration : Develop, maintain, and optimize MES–PLC communication using OPC-UA, Profinet, MQTT and station specific OT mappings, validate and update OT mappings for all assembly lines, prepare, test, and deploy new MES station integrations (load/unload stations, SPC stations, new tooling).
• Datalogging & Process Data Management : Maintain and improve synchronous and asynchronous data logging using Python scripts, ensure high quality traceability data (product IDs, timestamps, NOK/OK status), support ANDON dashboards, reporting and performance monitoring by ensuring consistent data flow.
• Production Line Support: Provide high level support for MES issues to prevent production losses, troubleshoot communication errors between MES and PLCs, including OPC-UA failures, network congestion, or datalogger restarts, analyze and resolve line stops linked to MES station behavior, job closures, or workflow inconsistencies.
• Continuous Improvement: Implement MES upgrades, new features, and performance optimization, support OEE improvement by enabling better data analysis and automation of manual scanning, collaborate with Process Engineering, Automation, IT Infrastructure & Manufacturing teams.
• Documentation & Compliance: Maintain detailed documentation of OT mappings, station structures, and MES workflows 

• Good knowledge of PLC communication (Siemens S7 1500, OPC-UA, Profinet, MQQT).
• Strong knowledge of IT networking
• Solid understanding of MES system architecture
• Develop Python code
• Experience with industrial networking and troubleshooting.
• Ability to analyze SQL logs, datalogger output, MES job histories.
• Hands on problem solver with strong communication skills.
• Familiar with: Influx, TimeScale, PostgrSQL, NodeRed, PowerBi
  Nice to Have
• Familiarity with GitLab, versioning of code and MES scripts. #LI-EB1
