The team manages Citrix environments across Europe, supporting thousands of concurrent users, and is currently transforming its Citrix platforms from on-premise to cloud-based deployments using Citrix Cloud for access and management planes while maintaining the workload plane in on-premise datacenters. As a Senior Cloud Application Packager Citrix, you will package and deploy applications, troubleshoot complex application and infrastructure-related issues, and help maintain and develop secure, standardized, and compliant Citrix platforms.

Application Packaging & Deployment:

Platform Operations & Troubleshooting:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve diverse application issues, including problems caused by the underlying infrastructure.
  • Investigate issues related to firewall rules, permissions, role assignments, proxy configurations, storage, network, or virtualization layers.
  • Execute changes and resolve incidents following client procedures.
  • Participate in the single-point-of-contact rota for incident dispatching and user escalations.

Projects, Documentation & Collaboration:

  • Take part in department projects such as roadmap items, client migration projects, and customer onboarding initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with Citrix engineers, application packaging engineers, architects, Service Delivery Management, and other infrastructure teams.
  • Communicate at a technical level with Active Directory, VMware, storage, and network/firewall teams.
  • Provide appropriate technical documentation for the activities performed.

Security & Continuous Improvement:

  • Implement solutions that are standardized, manageable, secure, and compliant.
  • Support the harmonization of secure access methods across client environments.
  • Apply security-minded ways of working in platforms that support access to production systems.
  • Contribute to maintaining high levels of security and compliance, including environments subject to PCI-DSS and SWIFT standards.

Qualifications

  • Senior-level experience in application packaging and deployment within virtualized or terminal server environments.
  • Extensive experience with recent on-premise versions of Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD), preferably version 2402 LTSR or later.
  • Extensive experience with image creation and management using PVS, MCS, and App Layering.
  • Extensive experience with Citrix Workspace Environment Manager (WEM).
  • Experience with Citrix Cloud and hybrid Citrix deployments.
  • Experience with Windows Server 2019 and 2022.
  • Good understanding of Active Directory, VMware, storage, and network/firewall topics, with the ability to communicate with specialized infrastructure teams.
  • Experience working as part of an operational group resolving user incidents and escalations.
  • Experience with security standards such as PCI-DSS and SWIFT.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills in an international environment.
  • Security-minded, stress-resistant, patient, and able to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
