Responsibilities

We are looking for a Harness Design Engineer to join us in working on complex electronic systems from design through production. This role suits engineers who enjoy hands‑on engineering, close collaboration with manufacturing teams, and working in a structured, high‑reliability environment.

  • Design and develop electrical harnesses for electronic systems using CATIA EHI / EHA
  • Create electrical schematics and harness architecture
  • Perform electrical sizing and dimensioning of wires, cables, and protection elements based on electrical loads and system requirements
  • Design harness routing and installation within assemblies, ensuring compliance with mechanical, electrical, and environmental constraints
  • Create production‑ready designs, including prototypes or models
  • Prepare and maintain production files, drawings, and technical documentation
  • Work closely with manufacturing, testing, and engineering teams onsite to ensure design feasibility and quality
  • Support the transition from design to production, including design updates based on manufacturing feedback

 

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Electromechanical Engineering
  • Mandatory experience in electrical harness design using CATIA EHI / EHA
  • Previous experience with end-to-end harness development, from:
    • concept and dimensioning
    • schematic definition
    • routing and installation
    • production implementation
  • Knowledge of wire sizing, protection selection, and electrical load calculation
  • Experience with harness manufacturing, prototyping, or model-based production
  • Ability to work full onsite in Bucharest
  • Ability to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams

Desired skills

  • Experience in aerospace, defense, automotive, or other safety‑critical industries
  • Familiarity with engineering change and configuration control processes
