Hardware Bench Development Engineer

• Ensure the development, customization, and continuous operation of test benches, providing validation teams with reliable, standardized, and project-specific testing environments.
• Participate in the development of system and inter-system test benches, including both hardware and software adaptations.
• Customize test benches according to the specific requirements of each project.
• Define and promote standards for new test bench development, including architecture, components, documentation, and best practices, to ensure consistency, reproducibility, and efficiency.
• Perform installation, commissioning, dismantling, and relocation of test benches at customer sites.
• Maintain test benches in operational condition through preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Ensure the maintenance of test equipment, electronic hardware, and software tools within the testing environment, including power supply systems.
• Support the proper operation of applications associated with validation and testing assets.
• Provide technical support and assistance to teams using test benches and testing platforms.
• Manage the availability of consumables required for the continuous operation of test benches.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels of spare parts and electronic components to support ongoing testing activities.

• Technical degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
• Experience in the automotive industry, ideally involving test bench development and integration.
• Experience in building, wiring, and troubleshooting electronic systems and test benches.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and technical documentation.

• Hands-on experience with laboratory and measurement equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies).
• Knowledge of CAN, LIN, and Automotive Ethernet communication protocols.
• Experience installing and configuring software and engineering tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and quality-focused mindset.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, including customer interaction.
• Availability to travel for customer support and on-site activities.

• Familiarity with Vector tools (e.g., CANoe, CANalyzer, VN hardware).
• Previous experience with automotive test bench creation, validation, or maintenance activities.
• Exposure to customer-facing engineering environments and on-site commissioning/support activities.
